I made 8 big and small valances for my windows using my favorite colors of course. These are 7" sq. pine trees set on point. Each block has 14 1/2 squares and this smaller block has 70 half squares for the 5 blocks that you see. I MADE 74 BLOCKS TOTAL so there were 1,036 half squares. To my quilting friends I am know as the 1/2 sq. queen as I love making them.
